Annual Report 2024

Care of Afghan Families (CAF) is pleased to present its Annual Report for the fiscal year 2023-2024 (March 20, 2024, to March 19, 2025). This report highlights 22 years of CAF’s dedicated service to the people of Afghanistan, showcasing our unwavering commitment to delivering equitable, high-quality health and nutrition services with dignity, compassion, and professionalism.

Over the past year, CAF successfully implemented a diverse portfolio of programs, directly serving over 900,000 beneficiaries across multiple provinces. Key achievements include the delivery of the Basic Package of Health Services (BPHS) and Essential Package of Hospital Services (EPHS) in Logar province for over 577,000 people, the operation of 45 Family Health Houses in Logar and Samangan, and vital nutrition interventions that cured over 93% of beneficiaries. Our TB and malaria projects also exceeded national targets, demonstrating significant impact in disease control and health system strengthening.

These accomplishments were made possible through the steadfast support of our donors and partners, including the World Bank (via UNICEF), UNFPA, WFP, UNOPS, and UNDP, as well as close collaboration with government ministries. The dedication of our 754 staff members and over 1,000 community health workers was instrumental in overcoming operational challenges and ensuring life-saving services reached the most vulnerable communities.

As we reflect on a year of substantial progress, CAF reaffirms its commitment to building a healthier, more hopeful future for all Afghans. We extend our deepest gratitude to our partners, stakeholders, and the resilient communities we serve for their continued trust and collaboration.
