The job description is as follows:
Scope of work:
Diagnosis and treatment of patients presenting in the Clinic and overall management of the Clinic
Purpose:
- Timely and accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients presenting themselves in the Clinic,
- On-job training of Clinic staff and trainees following in-service training in the Clinic,
- Management of the Clinic.
- participation in the Community Based Health Care and EPI programme activities
Responsibilities:
- Work for the MoPH during official MoPH working hours
- Accurate and meticulous documentation of patient histories and treatments following the available guidelines and forms
- Participate actively in the design and implementation of the various on-the-job and in service training programmes organized in the Clinic
- Responsible for the collection of accurate Health Information using the national guidelines and formats
- Responsible for the monthly compilation of Health Information using the national guidelines and formats
- Actively update his knowledge on current best practice and national guidelines
- Should participate in Community Based Activities and EPI Special Immunization Activities
- Should lead the local response to emergencies
Qualifications:
Afghan National
Graduate from a recognized medical Faculty
Pleasant personality
Good organizational skills
Fluent in Dari, Pashto
English language knowledge preferred
Must possess an Exit Exam certificate issued by the Ministry of Public Health
- High quality individual performance and contribution to the medical care of patients
- Important individual contribution to the ongoing training activities inside the Clinic
- Well organized clinic
- Health Information is collected routinely and passed on to Provincial Level
Performance Indicators:
- Nil absences during the past year during official MOH Clinic working hours other than those due to acts of God
- A very high quality and completeness of the register book registering medical encounters
- Twelve Health Information Monthly Reports submitted to the Provincial Health Office during the past year
Appraisal process:
Appraised by the Provincial Technical Supervisor responsible for clinic supervision on a monthly basis, and subsequently every six months, using standard appraisal forms.
